MAD KING EXHIBIT - ABOUT SECTION
The ABOUT Section of the DARK AGES MUSEUM'S MAD KING EXHIBIT is under construction.
There is much more to come about the exhibit, the artists, and our Mad King. Matsuo Basho, Director of the Museum's Welcomee&Wisdom Department, greets you with a little haiku he composed just for this occasion,
The moon now a signpost
this way, please step inside
our traveler's inn*
*backstory: This pleasant little 'Welcome!' haiku ' is really about the Mountain Witch of Kamura, who welcomed travelers to her home, entertained them with stories, and then ate them. Translated into the language of 2025: 'Beware of invitations from a Mad King. It means you are on the menu.'
Meanwhile, we are glad you visited the Mad King exhibit of Jerome and Sadie Rothenberg's work, and hope you will return to this 'About' section again when it is completed. We did find a few other works in a Museum closet that you might find entertaining They were painted by the exhibit curator, red slider, long ago when he was a janitor at the museum with dreams of someday exhibiting his own paintings on our gallery walls. Fat Chance of that. We hauled them out anyway, brushed away the cobwebs, and offer a sample here for your amusement.
